Thailand PADI IDC Phuket: Diving
Instructor Training Courses Phuket
Next PADI IDC starts August 30th
Followed by October 04th, November 01st and November 29th
Why should you
continue your Instructor Education ??
Once you are a PADI Open
Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI)
you will want to continue your diving education. All over the world
people are discovering new and exciting places to dive, with more
and more PADI facilities opening to accommodate this growing market;
however at the same time there are more and more people becoming
certified as PADI Instructors wanting to fill these vacancies.
To get the job you want,
in the location you want, you need
to be a cut above the average instructor by not only having a more
Indepth knowledge of scuba diving and the business of diving, but
by also being able to offer more to both the Dive Centre and their
customers. Being able to teach PADI Specialty Courses, Emergency
First Response (EFR) Courses, a full range of DAN
Courses and DSAT courses, all greatly enhance you chance
of getting a job, especially as an new instructor !!!As a PADI
OWSI your first step should be attaining your Emergency
First Response Instructor (EFRI) rating, allowing you
to teach a complete range of PADI courses.
Not being able to teach your Emergency
First Response Instructor (EFRI)
won't stop you teaching the PADI Rescue Diver Course
but it will mean that you will have to give your students to another PADI
instructor to teach them the EFR course before they can
be certified as PADI Rescue Divers.
Why give your students to someone else ... ???
Your next step should be to get the PADI Master Scuba Diver
Trainer (MSDT) rating. This assures your future employers
that not only can you offer their customers PADI Specialty
Training in at least 5 different specialty areas, but
you are also an experienced PADI instructor with
at least 25 student certifications.
Course Director Chris
Owen: PADI, EFR, DAN, DSAT Instructor courses
Completing Specialty Instructor Training with a
PADI Course Director ensures that you not only receive up to date
information on PADI standards, valuable hands on training using the
latest techniques, but it will also allow you to start teaching these
exciting PADI courses immediately, prior to having gained the 25
certifications you need if applying directly to PADI, which can make
a big difference !!Another GREAT way to increase your employability
is being able to teach DAN courses. Chris teaches: DAN
Oxygen Provider Instructor Course, DAN
First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries (HMLI), DAN Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and Advanced
Oxygen Administration.
DSAT courses also go a long way to increasing your chance of a successful
job and career: DSAT Gas Blender is a must as which
dive centre does not need someone to blend EANx tanks ??
DSAT Tecrec is another growing market
and DSAT Tec Instructors are always needed !!!
Further down the road is the PADI IDC Staff instructor course,
which teaches you how to staff Instructor Development Courses (IDC
s).
Once certified as a PADI IDC Staff instructor you
will not only be able to staff IDCs, giving IDC curriculum presentations
and evaluating IDC candidates, but you will also be able to teach
the increasingly important PADI Assistant Instructor course,
a responsibility only IDC Staff Instructors and
PADI Course Directors share.
